About 2 years ago I ordered some of the original hybrid shirts in a size small (I'm 5'8" 165lbs) and I liked them. But they were small. I wear a small in other versatile 5" shorts like Ten Thousand, but these were way smaller. Not very comfy for working out (the jewels were not fans) and too short for wear as regular shorts. But they were fine for pool days and swimming, sometimes running. They traveled great though and I liked the style so I was disappointed I couldn't wear them for EVERYTHING.
Recently, though, I decided to size up with the 2.0 seeing that it had gone on Sale (I didn't want to spend $65 on something that wasn't perfect). The good news is that a medium is perfect for my build. Glad I bought two different colors and I plan to buy two more so I can replace all of my other casual/travel shorts. Haven't tried em out yet for the other functions but they work great so far as regular shorts.

Great shorts! I’ll buy another pair soon… my only complaint, and this is a preference, is this… I’m 6’5”, and it would be awesome to have a 9” inseam option. Otherwise, these are sick shorts!

I love my Wowie Nomad 5” shorts. They make an east transition from pool or ocean to land. I can wear them as shorts but, if the opportunity avails, plop into the water. They are comfortable for either use The pockets are the perfect size for a phone in the back and credit card or bills in the front. I have six pairs!

The athletic shorts and hybrids are the best products on the market, but still not perfect. I own 7 pairs of these combined and will continue to be a customer even with no updates to the product. That being said I have 3 improvements that would make them perfect.
1) My main complaint is that there is no zippered back pocket. At this price point they really should have a zippered back pocket instead of velcro. It would make a world of difference.
2) The leg opening is a bit too wide, especially on the 7’’ length. I’d prefer a slimmer opening so that they don’t flair out as much. Even for someone with very thick legs, there is still room to slim down the leg opening. Releasing a slim fit version would be fantastic.
3) I don’t like the writing inside of the liner. It sticks to your butt when you get sweaty and is irritating. I don’t think the writing is necessary at all, but if it would go anywhere, it should go on the outside of the liner near the top of the leg. That will it can still be seen if needed, but doesn’t directly contact the skin.
I love the simple design, with just a pop of flair, and the fabrics of all the styles, but the best part by far is the fit on the liner. The liner is perfect. It doesn’t mash your junk like most compression short liners. The boxer brief fit is perfect for holding everything in place in a more natural loose feel. You all should make boxer briefs with the same fit and material as the liners! I would buy a dozen.

Really like these shorts. I had to try in a few different inseams/sizes to get the ones I like. So far I’ve mostly warn them lounging and walking because it’s March in St. Louis. Looking forward to taking these to the beach and the pool this summer.

Overall, I really like the Nomad 2.0s. Super comfortable and the material feels durable. My one complaint is that Velcro was chosen for the back pocket instead of a zipper on an otherwise great pair of do-anything shorts.

First of all, I love Wowie. The shorts are awesome, fit great and feel great. I’m 5’9” 181 lbs and the medium is spot on. However, the quality control has been poor lately. These came with the same side of velcro sewn in, and unfortunately the other shorts in my order were the wrong size. They sent me a 5” inseam instead of the 7” because they ran out of 7’s.
